Wine Review: This clear and straw-colored Chardonnay from Gary Farrell opens with a pineapple and marzipan bouquet with hints of peonies and golden delicious apple. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, slightly viscous, and fresh. The flavor profile is a light oak influenced pineapple, and green apple blend with notes of honey and lemon tea. I also detected hints of quince, vanilla, and a touch of butterscotch at the very end. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. I would pair this Chard with toasted skillet ravioli with lemon and brown butter. Enjoy - Ken
