Wine Review: This clear and white gold colored Chardonnay from Gary Farrell opens with a shy pineapple and moist bread dough bouquet with hints of oak, Anjou pear, and jasmine. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth, and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is an oak influenced light pineapple and peach blend with notes of ginger and bartlett pear. We also detected hints of lemon peel, green tea, and white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. We would pair this Chard with crab cakes or a lobster casserole. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A brilliant straw yellow color shines out of the glass, drawing the senses into rich aromas of Meyer lemon sprinkled with white flower petals and lemongrass over a touch of warm pastry. The natural concentration and lush texture from the vineyard’s 40+ year old vines are displayed on the palate, carrying a fine balance of ripe, citrus driven fruits with a mouthcoating creaminess that endures on the persistent finish.
