Wine Review: This clear and yellow colored Chardonnay from Gary Farrell is very good. It opens with a lemon verbena and pineapple bouquet with hints slight oak and white tea. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and bright. The flavor profile is a lemongrass and gentle white plum with notes of pineapple and chamomile tea. I also detected hints of oak, saline, and white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair the crowd pleasing and versatile Chardonnay with baked haddock with a lemon butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This beautifully aromatic Russian River Chardonnay delivers aromas of fresh orchard fruits, honeydew melon and ripe lemon. The palate is richly layered with flavors of roasted nectarine, lime zest, crushed ginger, and baked lemon custard. The finish is bright and crisp, with a satisfyingly creamy texture that carries through to the tangy, persistent finish.
