Wine Review: This yellow colored organic Chardonnay opens with a mild pear bouquet with a hint of apricot. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and round. The flavor profile is mild oak infused pear with a hint of mild butterscotch in the end. The finish is dry and pleasant. This mild Chardonnay would be a nice complement to many foods. I would pair it with Theresa's homemade Mac n'Cheese with smoked ham chucks. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2010 Girasole Vineyards Chardonnay showcases aromas of lemon-lime, kiwi and Granny Smith apples. A creamy entry fills the mouth with vanilla custard and shortbread cookies, which are framed beautifully by just a slight kiss of toasty French oak. This clean, fruit driven wine is sure to please even the most discriminating palates. Serve slightly chilled with seafood, creamy pastas and poultry dishes.
