Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from South Africa opens with a musty wood and apple bouquet. On the palate this wine is medium bodied, balanced and delicate. The flavor profile is similar to the nose, featuring mild minerality and apple with nicely integrated light oak. I also detected hints of gentle lime, walnut and a touch of English toffee in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard is food friendly and quite versatile. I would pair it with Zuni Cafe's roast chicken recipe. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The "Estate Reserve" Chardonnay displays a wonderful bright color. The nose exhibits vibrant citrus, butterscotch, lime marmalade and toasted nuts with hints of quince and pear. The lush, creamy texture is underpinned with intense minerality, fresh lemon and lime zest and notes of toasted almond.
