Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay opens with a banana cream pie and gentle oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and has a richness to it. The flavor profile is a lemon butter and gentle oak blend with notes of pineapple, nutmeg, and cinnamon. I also detected some hints of almond and white pepper at the very end. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity display very nice length. This Chardonnay would pair well with lobster bisque. Winemaker Notes: The Estate Reserve Chardonnay displays a wonderful bright color. The nose exhibits vibrant citrus, butterscotch, lime marmalade and toasted nuts with hints of quince and pear. The lush, creamy texture is underpinned with intense minerality, fresh lemon and lime zest and notes of toasted almond.
