Wine Review: This light straw-colored Brut Sparkling wine from Gloria Ferrer opens with an inviting citrus bouquet including some nuttiness and bread dough. On the palate, this light plus body sparkler is crisp with mouthwatering acidity and balanced minerality. The mouthfeel is nice and bubbly and smooth. The flavor profile is a green apple with juicy pink grapefruit and clementine notes. The finish is dry pleasant and fades away nicely. This is a very good holiday season Brut, at a nice price point. I would recommend pairing this food friendly sparkler with oysters on the half shell. – Joe
