Wine Review: This clear medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Gros Ventre is a reserve barrel selection. It opens with an inviting wild strawberry and cedar bouquet with hints of black cherry, forest floor, mushroom, and black plum. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, silky, and seamless. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black cherry-cola and black raspberry blend with notes of strawberry licorice, black pepper, and black tea. We also detected hints of cinnamon, oak, red plum, and graphite. It's pretty complex. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this classy and graceful Pinot with Stuart's beef wellington or with a grilled veal chop. Enjoy - KWGTP
