Wine Review: This dark cherry colored old vine Grenache from Philippe Cambie opens with a blood orange and raspberry bouquet with some hints of anise. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is crushed stone minerality and black plum blend with notes of Bing cherry and oak. We also pick up some hints of red raspberry and vanilla as well. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins build-up and last for a very long time. We would decant this Chateauneuf du Pape wine for over an hour and then pair it with lamb lollipops. Enjoy – KWGTP
