Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and deep garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Hamel Family opens with a light cherry and menthol bouquet with hints of wintergreen, black plum, and iris. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is mild red cherry and cedar blend with notes of stone dust and herbal tea. We also detected some hints of blackberry. The finish is dry and its mild tannins build-up and stick around for a quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair the Cab blend with a braised short ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP
