Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Handley opens with a fragrant black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty black raspberry and black plum blend with notes of cranberry and oak. I also detected a nice amount of black pepper. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors are nicely prolonged. This Zin is bistro food friendly. I would pair it with a barbecue bacon burger or a rack of baby back ribs. Enjoy - Ken
