Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Syrah opens with a black olive and new plastic bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a mild blackberry jam with hints of stewed plum and mild chalky minerality. The finish is dry and subtle. The Panel suggested pairing this Syrah with a lamb burger. Winemaker Notes: The 2015 H Syrah is deep red with bright purple hues. It is perfumed with violet florals, blueberry fruit and cinnamon spice. Fruit forward on the palate with fresh rhubarb and mulberry, this wine is delicate in texture yet powerful in structure. Silky fine tannins lengthen the finish with subtle flavors of spicy, cedar oak. This wine is ideally served at room temperature with fragrantly spiced pork and fennel infused Italian sausage.
