Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Riesling opens with an inviting mild orange and gentle pineapple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth and viscous. The flavor profile is a delicious mild mineral infused gentle Anjou pear with a hint of quince and tangerine. The finish is off dry and pleasant. It would pair well with pan seared scallops. Winemaker Notes: The stunning Magdalena vineyard is the northernmost of our three vineyard locations yet consistently features the warmest temperatures across the estate and in the Finger Lakes. Lime silt loam soils pair with the warm weather to showcase the true essence of this site in a stellar single vineyard bottling. The brilliant bouquet of fresh citrus and apple leads into a refreshingly fruit forward palate and a lush, bold finish.
