Wine Review: This light yellow colored Riesling from Hermann Wiemer opens with a very attractive quince and mild pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, clean and fresh. The flavor profile is a very tasty mineral infused quince, lime and lychee blend with notes of apricot. I also detected a dash of white pepper towards the end. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this food friendly Riesling with Woodman’s fried clams. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Planted in 1977, the HJW Vineyard has formed the backbone of estate Rieslings since our founding. Situated on a plateau above Seneca Lake, this site boasts a cooler mesoclimate evidenced through racy acidity and high mineral content. Enjoy now with shellfish, fried foods, and anything requiring a crisp, clean compliment. This wine will cellar comfortably for 15+ years.
