Wine Review: This plush Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep garnet color. It has a dark bouquet featuring black cherry, dark berry, saddle leather, vanilla and cinnamon. It has a medium-plus body and medium acidity on the palate, and was dry, balanced and showed nice fruit. There are flavors of black cherry, cassis and earthiness; also some toasted oak, vanilla and black pepper were detected. There are pleasant dusty tannins in the long and fruity finish. I would pair the Cab with steak tips. – Mark

Winemaker Notes: On the nose, this wine delivers delicious aromas of blackberry, boysenberry and elegant expressions of lavender alongside a touch of vanilla. Allomi Cabernet is concentrated upon entry with dense, but well-integrated tannins that provide a round, plush mouthfeel. Layers of juicy black fruit, notably black plum and black cherry, lead to elements of bittersweet chocolate supported by a subtle oak spice that adds to the personality of the wine.
