Wine Review: With floral aromas of chamomile and white tea, this pale straw yellow Pinot Gris opens with Bosc pear, ripe green apple and baked pineapple flavors. There are trace amounts of minerality and the acidity is moderate giving it a good balance. The finish is crisp and clean with a bit of zing on the exit, almost like spearmint. We enjoyed this refreshing Pinot Gris with a chicken pot pie and seasoned poultry gravy. It would also pair well with fried calamari or grilled shrimp. - Jeoff

Winemaker Notes: We fermented the debut vintage of our Hess Select Pinot Gris in stainless steel, without oak influence, in order to accentuate the beautiful tropical fruit characteristics of the wine. Ripe pear and apricot aromas lead to flavors of pineapple and cheerful citrus, which are complemented by a fresh acidity. Very balanced on the palate, this is a wine truly easy to enjoy. Pair this fruit-forward, versatile wine with your favorite grilled chicken or grilled vegetable dish, or with fresh shellfish with lemon drizzle.
