Wine Review: This light red colored Pinot a Noir from Hirsch is very good. It opens with a fragrant red raspberry and cherry vanilla bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black raspberry with notes of minerality. I also detected hints of gentle oak, strawberry and a little black cherry. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This wine would pair nicely with a pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The San Andreas Fault is Hirsch Vineyards' signature pinot noir and is crafted to represent the entirety of this multifaceted vineyard. It is the flagship wine from Hirsch, and the wine that represents the summation of this complex vineyard.
