Wine Review: This pale straw almost clear Chenin Blanc from Mendocino County opens with aromas of lemon verbena, meringue and hints of pina colada. It is medium-bodied and medium-plus in acidity and carries a flavor profile of Meyer lemon, spiced pear and passion fruit with a traces of jasmine tea and crystallized ginger. The mineral-infused citrus flavors dissolve into a lean, off-dry finish that fades away pleasingly. While it immediately evokes thoughts of a summer sunset on the patio, this uplifting wine shows tremendous versatility and can be enjoyed year-round, especially with oysters, shrimp cocktail or swordfish skewers. At only 12.6% ABV, you'll insist on a second glass. – Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: Our 2017 Chenin Blanc is sure to invigorate your senses. Beautiful aromas of citrus zest, orange blossom, white peach, honeydew, and wet limestone invite your nose to the glass. Fresh, fruity, and bright flavors that parallel the aromas delight your taste buds. This is a perfect wine for any occasion from the picnic table to the dinner table. Enjoy on its own or with roasted turkey, fresh seafood or even baked macaroni & cheese with ham.
