Wine Review: This straw-colored Gewurztraminer from Husch is a very good value. It opens with a very fragrant and appealing lychee bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and has a round mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a ripe pear and lychee blend with notes of mild minerality mixed in. I also detected a hint of ginger and pink grapefruit as well. The finish is off-dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Gewurz is Chinese food friendly. I would pair it with chicken lo-mein. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Way more fun to drink than it is to pronounce, Husch's 2017 Dry Gewurztraminer is simply irresistible. This vintage opens with aromas of honeysuckle, jasmine, and grapefruit. Even just a small sip of this lively wine fills your mouth with rich flavors. Perfect on its own or try it with chicken butter lettuce wraps with a spicy peanut sauce or warmed camembert with honey and walnuts. This wine will age wonderfully when cellared.
