Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from the Central Otago region of New Zealand opens with an inviting red raspberry bouquet with hints of forest floor, gun powder and teaberry gum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced with medium acidity. The flavor profile is a tangy red raspberry and strawberry blend with notes of pomegranate, red currant and cranberry. The finish is dry and its tingly acidity and flavors fade away slowly. The Panel suggested pairing this reasonably priced Pinot with grilled salmon. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Central Otago Pinot Noir has lively red and blue fruit aromas supported by savory, spicy undertones of clove, nutmeg and thyme. The palate delivers juicy blackberry and cherry flavors with earthy undertones. The wine has a lovely weight and texture with polished, structured tannins and vibrant natural acidity.
