Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Innumero opens with an inviting black cherry-cola and black currant bouquet with hints of licorice, mulberry, and molasses. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and fresh. The flavor profile is a stewed plum and dried earth blend with notes of tobacco and mulberry. We also detected hints of black cherry, black tea, clove, and red raspberry. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity, and gentle integrated tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with cherry amaretto chicken or with a black pepper encrusted filet mignon. Winemaker Notes: Our first vintage of Little Boot Pinot Noir is already a complete showstopper. This wine has an inky and intense purple hue in the glass. Aromas are of dusty black cherry, dried black plum, candied violets, a hint of Maine wild blueberries, dried red rose petal and a hint of clove. The palate is gorgeous with juicy black and red fruit tones on the front with spice notes and great texture rounding it out. There are medium tannins that are chewy but balanced and delicious and good acidity on the finish.
