Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Innumero opens with an inviting rose petals and plum bouquet with hints of strawberry and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is plum and hibiscus tea blend with notes of black pepper, loam, and red currant. We also detected hints of tobacco, cinnamon, craisin, and toasted oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate refined tannins linger and last for quite some time. We would pair this Pinot with grilled squab with fig and port reduction sauce or with Cornish game hens with an apple-cranberry rice stuffing. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This is a new Pinot Noir vineyard for us. Farmed in West Sonoma County, you can taste the terroir and clone expressing itself in this wine. Aromas of dried red rose petals, currants, red and black plum, violets, and black cardamom fill the glass. The palate is intense with very bright red berry and fresh currant notes that are mixed with spices and a hint of potpourri. The finish is slightly earthy with some nice density. This is a very special wine and has found its proper place in our single-vineyard, single-clone portfolio.
