Wine Review: This dark red colored Sangiovese from Isole e Olena is Excellent! It opens with a black cherry and old oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth and well-balanced. The flavor profile is a gentle oak influenced black cherry with notes of nicely integrated mild minerality. The finish is dry and its refined tannins are nicely extended. I would pair this gem with Italian beef braciole. Enjoy - Ken
