Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from J. Christopher opens with an inviting teaberry gum and maraschino cherry bouquet with hints of blueberry and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is plum and teaberry gum blend with notes of mild molasses and clove cookie. I also detected hints of cola and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and resolved mild tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Pinot with a pan-seared duck breast with cherry reduction and Pinot Noir sauce. Enjoy - Ken
