Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Zinfandel from J. Dusi opens with a fragrant macerated Bing cherry and craisin bouquet with hints of lingonberry and balsam. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, lush, round, fruit forward, and a little zesty. The flavor profile is a craisin and red currant blend with notes of orange zest and lingonberry. We also detected hints of tobacco, cinnamon, and Twizzler. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild tannins fade away nicely. We would pair this Zin with grilled Italian sausage with roasted peppers or with burnt ends. Enjoy - KWGTP
