Wine Review: This hazy dark garnet colored Zinfandel from J. Dusi opens with very fragrant fruit-forward aromas featuring red currant, pomegranate, and teaberry with hints of cinnamon and clove. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and very fruit driven. The flavor profile is a red currant jam and pomegranate blend with notes of cranberry and clove. I also detected hints of tobacco, cinnamon, and Twizzler. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins linger nicely. I would pair this Zinny Zin with a sweet sausage lasagna. Enjoy - Ken
