Wine Review: This clear and dark red colored Cabernet Sauvignon from J. Lohr opens with a black raspberry and black cherry bouquet with hints of oak and pencil lead. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is a graphite and dark cherry blend with notes of oak and chocolate. I also detected hints of cassis. The finish is dry, and its flavors and gentle fine tannins fade away nicely. I would pair this entry level Cab with a grilled Angus burger. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Ripe black cherry and currant aromas are accented by notes of toasted pastry, hazelnut, and vanilla from our authentic barrel aging program. Big, juicy red-fruit flavors infuse the palate while softly textured tannins lead to a long, gratifying finish.
