Wine Review: This clear and golden colored Chardonnay from J. Lohr opens with a light lemon tea and pineapple bouquet with hints of poached pear and light oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and bright. The flavor profile is Bartlet pear and pineapple blend with notes of gentle oak and green tea. We also detected hints of lemongrass, faint apricot, and almond paste. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger before drifting away nicely. We would pair this Chard with a pan-seared halibut with a lemon butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
