Wine Review: This Excellent dark ruby colored Pinot opens with a fragrant spicy black cherry and plum bouquet with a hint of beet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, extremely smooth and elegant. The flavor profile is a delicious mild black cherry with hints of black raspberry and just a kiss of licorice. The finish is dry and its ultra fine tannins are very refined. I would pair this excellent Pinot with a Kobe Cap steak from Grill 23. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Aromas of earthy mushrooms and cocoa are joined by dark plum, cinnamon and minty vanilla. The 2008 "Nicole's Vineyard" Pinot Noir has a smooth entry on the palate with a long and rich spicy finish of delicious fig and dark cherry flavors, with fennel and caramel undertones at the finish. This wine is the perfect accompaniment to venison, bison burgers, herb roasted wild pig, or grilled salmon.
