Wine Review: This deep purple colored Shiraz from John Duval is very impressive! It opens with a blackberry bouquet with hints of black olive. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well-balanced, and silky smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild graphite and gentle blackberry blend with notes of tobacco and boysenberry. I also detected hints of stewed plum and dried herbs in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This Shiraz is drinking beautifully right now and would be a perfect match for filet mignon in the near term. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Nose: Lifted notes of dark berries, plum and boysenberry, supported by hints of anise and clove.
Palate: Dark and brooding, with excellent concentration of layered rich dark fruits with hints of dark chocolate and earth finishing long with youthful tannins.
