Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Joseph Phelps opens with a poached bartlett pear, grilled pineapple, and vanilla bouquet with hints of green apple and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and with nicely integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round and bright. The flavor profile is a lemon and Anjou pear blend with notes of subtle oak. We also detected hints of vanilla, green apple, and spearmint in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors are nicely prolonged. The Panel would pair this Chard with pan fried breaded veal with lemon or with a pan-fried sole fish with lemon-butter sauce. Enjoy - KWGTP
