Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Syrah from K Vintners is drinking beautifully right now. It opens with a black olive, black currant, and faint prune bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium acidity. It is balanced and rich. The flavor profile is a blend of boysenberry and charred oak with notes of mild triple sec and oolong tea. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. I would pair this Syrah with a Hunter Schnitzel with Mushroom Gravy. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: A powerhouse. The quintessential fist in a velvet glove. Blackberry undergrowth, tanned leather, tar and tobacco. Cool fireplace. Not for lack of words…..a perfect wine.
