Wine Review: This deep purple colored Malbec from Kaiken opens with an inviting blackberry and molasses cookie bouquet with hints of red currant and cigar box. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with well-integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is a tasty mild blackberry and oolong tea blend with notes of stony minerality. I also detected hints of stewed black plum and tobacco. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed moderate tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Malbec with grilled Angus steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
