Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa opens with a smoky oak and black currant bouquet with a hint of graphite. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and quite savory. The flavor profile is a smoky oak and black currant blend with notes of graphite and red licorice. I also detected hints of black plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors linger nicely.
