Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon is a big wine! It opens with a black currant and black cherry blend with notes of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and silky. It also is fruit forward and nicely coats your mouth. There is a lot going on with this wine. The flavor profile is a stewed plum and black currant blend with notes of blackberries. I also detected minerality, black pepper and lots of tannin throughout. The flavors and tannins carry through to the finish which is long and lengthy. As readers know, 2013 was a very ripe vintage and this Cab is a reflection of its big fruits. I would either sit on it or decant it for at least 30 minutes before serving it with Roy's rib roast. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2013 Kelleher "Brix Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits plenty of flavors of blackberry fruit, shaved chocolate, Bing Cherry all culminating in a full-bodied mouthfeel. There is a wonderful intensity to this vintage and the supple tannins offer a creamy texture to the finish. Enjoy now and for many years to come.
