Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia opens with a very fragrant spearmint and ripe black raspberry bouquet with hints of cranberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright and very juicy. The flavor profile is ripe blackberry and black currant blend with notes of anise and other baking spices. I also detected some hints of graphite and the mint I picked up on the nose. The finish is dry, and its ripe fruit and bright acidity linger along with moderate dusty tannins after the wine is gone. This wine would pair very well with the N.Y. Times five-spice duck breast with blackberries recipe. Enjoy - Ken

Nose: Multilayered and intense, with attractive flavors of cherries and blackberries, subtle leafiness and hints of emerging cigar box combining on the nose, further enhanced by smoky oak char.
Palate: Pitch perfect with dark fruit flavors and textural consistency, with juicy cassis, bell pepper, and lingering oak persistence. The finish feature finely grained seductively polished tannins in a satisfying and lingering finish.
