Wine Review: This clear and red colored Cabernet Franc and Merlot based blend from Virginia opens with a blueberry and saddle leather bouquet with hints of teaberry gum and coffee. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, savory, and fresh. The flavor profile is a kirsch and blackberry tea blend with notes of red plum and graphite. We also detected hints of fig and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and medium soft tannins are nicely sustained. We would benefit from some aeration and decanting early on. We would pair this red blend with a slow cooked pot roast. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This wine displays dense, ripe fruit characteristics, including black currant, plum, and red cherry, alongside graphite and violet aromas. Firm tannins provide structure, while prominent oak spice and vanilla contribute to a rich palate. Lifting acidity keeps the wine vibrant, leading to a long, lingering finish.
