Wine Review: This clear and garnet colored Pinot Noir from Kosta Browne opens with a gentle black cherry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of terra cotta and tobacco leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, opulent, and fresh. The flavor profile is a stone dust and dark cherry blend with notes of red plum and mild loganberry. We also detected hints of oak, herbal tea, and touch of cinnamon. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined dusty tannins are nicely extended. We would pair this Pinot with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2023 vintage of Gap’s Crown Vineyard Pinot Noir was crafted from five carefully selected clones including the prized Swan clone. It opens with enticing aromas that captivate the senses. It is a mix of potpourri, black cherries, cocoa, dried riverbed, and a hint of bacon. On the palate, it reveals an elegant, sleek texture that glides effortlessly, balanced by refreshing acidity. Flavors of wet stones and rich blackberry crumble emerge, leading to a savory finish that lingers, adding depth and complexity to the experience.
