Wine Review: This clear and light red colored Pinot Noir from Kosta Browne opens with a chocolate and lingonberry bouquet with hints of black plum, iris, and mild spearmint gum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and fresh. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and black plum blend with notes of oak and black tea. We also detected hints of mild lingonberry and tobacco. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins stick around nicely. We would pair this Pinot with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2023 vintage delivered fruit with ripeness and definition, resulting in a wine that is vibrant yet delicately structured. On the palate, red and black fruits are framed by finely woven tannins. Bright acidity brings lift and tension, while notes of earth and spice carry into a finish of remarkable persistence. Poised and deeply layered, this Volnay stands as a benchmark in our Burgundy collection.
