Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from L'Ecole opens with a black cherry and cranberry bouquet with hints of currant and vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a red currant and craisin blend with notes of very fine flinty minerality. I also detected hints of plum and oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build-up and show very nice length. This wine would pair well with roast duck. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Perigee exemplifies this vineyard's characteristic cedar and dark fruit structured elegance. Deep ruby in color with aromas of blackberry, cigar box and herbal flavors are accented with notes of cocoa and earth, on a complex silky finish.
