Wine Review: This is actually a GSM blend with 21% Grenache and 2% Mourvedre and has an old-world character. It is clear deep ruby and a bouquet of dark raspberry, earthy blueberry, spice and some dark chocolate notes. On the palate it is medium-plus bodied, medium-plus acidity, savory, smooth and concentrated. I found flavors of blackberry, black currant, some smoke, mocha and spice. There are nice firm tannins in the long finish. This Syrah based wine would go nicely with a grilled NY strip steak. - Mark

Winemaker Notes: Dark, robust and spicy this full-bodied Syrah shows rich flavors of black & blue berries, peppercorn, and licorice through an earthy finish.
