Wine Review: This dark red Merlot based wine from Pomerol opens with a black raspberry and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, silky, and elegant. The flavors profile is a black cherry and loam blend with notes of oak. I also detected hints of black licorice and black pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors and refined tannins drift away nicely. This wine is very food friendly and would pair with many dishes. I would pair it with veal medallions with a mushroom-wine sauce or with a filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken and Dave

Winemaker Notes: Deep, dense color with glints of violet. Refined, fresh nose with subtle, elegant aromas of mocha. Generous on the palate with fruity notes of raspberry and Morello cherry. Ripe, delicate, well-coated tannins contribute to the wine’s power and length. The finish is subtle and smooth.
