Wine Review: This dark yellow colored Chardonnay from the Russian River opens with a pineapple, banana, and pear bouquet with a hint of apricot. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, rich and concentrated. The flavor profile is a ripe Bosc pear with notes of green melon. I also detected some faint oak, and hints of brown sugar and minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for a while. This Chard would pair well with New England clam chowder. Winemaker Notes: Fragrant with ripe pear, quince, nutmeg, and apple blossom. Flavors of lemon tart, marzipan, apricot, and nougat. Rich and layered with sweet spice, balanced with well integrated acidity.
