Wine Review: This clear and bright straw-colored Chardonnay from La Crema opens with an attractive green apple and ripe honeydew melon bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated mellow acidity. The flavor profile is an Anjou pear and almond blend with subtle hints of oak, pineapple, minerality, lemon verbena, and pastry crust. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. This crowd pleaser Chard is a nice glass pour option for restaurants. It is versatile and will compliment with many foods. I would pair it with lemon butter chicken with angel hair pasta. Winemaker Notes: Aromas of Meyer lemon, gala apple, and jasmine are followed by flavors of pear, Cara Cara orange, and lemon meringue pie. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and juicy with a lingering finish.
