Wine Review: This dark red colored Cabernet Franc from Howell Mountain opens with a mild boysenberry bouquet with a hint cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry with notes of gentle oak. I also detected hint of pomegranate and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its nicely managed tannins fade away nicely. This Cab Franc is very food friendly would pair well with a thick and juicy prime rib. Enjoy – Ken
