Wine Review: Garnet in color, this Italian red wine presents with aromas of wet brick, shaved fennel, eucalyptus and cherry. On the palate, the wine is medium in body with a core of cherry flavor supported by traces of pomegranate, black licorice, cardamom and espresso. The oak is moderate and the tannins are controlled, carrying the wine to pleasing dry finish where the flavors stick around for some time. This wine would pair well with a cioppino (tomato-based fish stew) and grilled artisan bread. – Jeoff

Winemaker Notes: Pair with local salumi, pasta aglio e olio (garlic and olive oil), porchetta and brodetto di pesce (local fish soup)
