Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Lafond opens with a blueberry and plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused red plum with notes of boysenberry and craisin. I also detected hints of cinnamon and strawberry. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors show nice length for a Pinot Noir. I would pair this Pinot with a Thanksgiving sandwich with lots of cranberry. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This wine benefits greatly from about an hour of decanting to allow the concentrated aromatic and flavor profiles to fully open up. The complexity of flavor found in this wine is a wonderful match with savory foods, grilled salmon, or mushrooms.
