Wine Review: This clear and pale ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Lamoreaux Landing opens with a loam and mild raspberry bouquet with hints of sandalwood and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, seamless, and a bit zesty. The flavor profile is a black pepper and macerated black cherry blend with notes of black tea and graphite. I also detected hints of licorice, nutmeg, and loam. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and faint fine tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Cab Franc with your favorite carnitas burrito recipe.
