Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Petite Sirah from Lava Cap is very good. It opens with a sugar plum and black tea bouquet with notes of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, smooth and round. The flavor profile is mocha and black tea blend with notes of juicy black plum and blueberry with hints of molasses, vanilla and oak. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins well-integrated stick around for quite some time. This Petite Sirah would pair well with a New York strip steak. Enjoy – Ken & Dave

Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Petite Sirah has notes of elegant wild licorice, blueberries, and complex oak. With a sip, the massive wine slams the palate with a stampede of plum and white pepper flavors which perfectly transition to blackberry and a long vanilla-cola finish.
