Wine Review: I found this Pinot Noir to be much more enjoyable after being open for about 30 minutes. It is a translucent medium ruby color with an orange rim. On the nose, I got cherry-cola, cedar and hints of earthy florals. It has a medium body and medium+ acidity, and a touch of fine tannins. On the palate, it is dark for a Pinot Noir, supple and balanced, with flavors of dark cherry, dark raspberry, dark spice (perhaps clove) and integrated minerality. I also found a hint of vanilla and tart cranberry on the back end. The finish lingered for a long time with a touch of anise. I would pair this good value Pinot with grilled butterflied lamb. – Mark

Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Lazy Creek Vineyards Lazy Day Pinot Noir is a blend of grapes from our ranches in the Anderson Valley. Delicious and sustainably-farmed, this wine has aromas of bright cherry, cola and spice followed by a rich and juicy palate of red fruits, plum, licorice and toast lingering on the finish. Lazy Day Pinot Noir is delicious paired with braised meats, fowl, veal, salmon, lobster and prawns.
